This is unsurprising - not because I have a swelled ego, but rather because the recipe came from Silk Road Cooking: A Vegetarian Journey. Now the 3 of them are planning to go back to Iran by taking the Silk Road, bicycling through Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Xinjiang in China. The recipe is adapted from one in Najmieh Batmanglij's glorious romp through the veggie side of Iranian, Afghan and Central Asian food, Silk Road Cooking: A Vegetarian Journey. The newer recipes are mostly gluten free ones and mostly vegan or vegetarian. The first one is a book that Daiku and I have had our eyes on for a while, "Silk Road Cooking: A Vegetarian Journey" by Najmieh Batmanglij. In the morning they normally have coffee, some sweets and fruits. During the day We like the vegetarian curries in India. In Bangladesh they have the most delicious sweets there. From China they will visit the Central Asia countries, namely Kyrgyzstan, However, they prefer to cook during their journey. We've hardly eaten a meal that hasn't come from that book in the last 6 weeks.
